Social Justice
We are driven to make a positive and lasting impact on our global community. Particularly, we are passionate about standing for the underdog, the forgotten, the voiceless. This vision has become central to our work as a company. We believe business can be a powerful engine to produce meaningful change. Our purpose is to leave a legacy of value to future generations.
Providing free surgeries to children in developing countries
We are thrilled to have helped fund cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for over 80 children during the past two years. These children were suffering not just because they were born with a deformity, but because they were born too poor to ever afford surgery.
Being born with a deformity in a developing country is truly a curse. In fact, every baby born in Uganda with a cleft lip or cleft palate is given the name Ajok, which means literally, “Cursed by
God.” And no one knows how many newborns with cleft deformities are killed or abandoned right after birth.
But the ones who are lucky enough to find a Smile Train free cleft surgery program not only survive; they thrive. A 45 minute surgery
gives them a future, and a second chance at life that they never thought they'd get.
We are privileged to share our success by contributing to the Smile Train.
